Kalpana Soren, an Indian businesswoman, and wife of current CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren.
She was born in 1976, currently Kalpana Soren Age 48, in Ranchi, Jharkhand. She attained a bachelor’s degree from a state-run college in Ranchi.
Kalpana married Hemant Soren in 2006 and now has two children: Nikhil and Ansh. Apart from her involvement in politics, Kalpana is engaged in various business activities. She runs a school and is involved in organic farming.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is currently under a money laundering case linked with, alleged land scams. He is also the working president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a famous political party in Jharkhand. The party has one seat in the 17th Lok Sabha
The Enforcement Directorate is currently questioning the CM in Ranchi as a part of this case.
On Monday, the Ed officials visited Soren’s residency in Delhi to question him. The officials seized his two cars and 36 Lakhs but were not able to find the CM Hemant Soren.
However, the BJP has made their claims and said people have no expectations from the CM as he is deeply involved in massive corruption and has made it a source of income.
As per reports, Jharkhand CM has now filed a complaint against officials of the Enforcement Directorate at Dhurwa police station. He filed the complaint accusing the ED officials of actions aimed at humiliating an ST member, violating the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act.

Speculations surround that Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren might become the next CM of Jharkhand.
Earlier, rumors were dismissed of making Kalpana Soren the CM by Hemant Soren.
But now the speculations have resurfaced comparing Kaplana to Rabri Devi who became Bihar’s chief minister in 1996 when Lalu Prasad was arrested.
Since Kalpana Soren is not an MLA, her becoming the CM will need a present MLA to vacate their seat. Hemants’s brother Basant Soren and sister-in-law Sita Soren. did not agree to the proposal of Kalpana becoming the CM.
In the meeting conducted on Tuesday, however, the MLAs signed a letter of support, as speculations arise that the Chief minister’s wife, Kalpana Soren will be the next CM.
