As she was returning from an official administrative meeting she was sitting in the front seat, beside the driver, hitting her head hard on the mirror in front of her during the accident, as you can see in the image she got the injury on her head. She took the medical after reaching Kolkata. As per the reports, another car was coming in front of her car to avoid an accident, the driver pushed the brake so hard, which resulted in hitting her head on the mirror. She went there by helicopter but had to choose a road journey while returning because of the bad weather.

What Happened To Mamata Banerjee and how is she now

While confronting the media she said “While we were on our way, a vehicle came from the other side and was about to dash into my car; I wouldn’t have survived if my driver had not pressed the brakes. Due to sudden braking, I hit the dashboard and got a little injured. I am safe because of the blessings of people.”

After listening to this news, the general secretary, congress Jairam Ramesh, is currently in Assam for the Bharat Jodo scheme of Rahul Gandhi.

“We have just heard of the injury suffered by Mamta Banerjee ji in a car accident. We wish her full and speedy recovery. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is looking forward to entering West Bengal tomorrow late morning. January 26th and 27th being the break days, the yatra will resume on the 28th.”
