Who is Prashant Kishor?
Prashant Kishor, also known as PK, is an Indian political strategist and tactician. He has also worked in public health programs funded by the United Nations for eight years. Now he works as a political strategist.
He has worked for BJP and his first political campaign was to help Narendra Singh Modi in 2011, afterwards, he helped the CM of Gujarat to be re-elected for the third time.

Prashant belongs from the Konar Village, Rohtas district, Bihar.
He studied at a government school in Bihar. Later he moved to Buxar, Bihar, where he moved for his further education from Patna Science College. He belongs from a Brahmin family. He is married to Jahnavi Das, a physician doctor from Guwahati, Assam, with whom he has a son.
Prashant Kishor’s career
- Before he started working as a political strategist in Indian politics, he was a public health expert at United Nations for 8 years.
- In 2011, he did his first political campaign for Narendra Modi, who became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the Gujarat Assembly Elections in 2012.
- On 16th September 2018, he joined Janata Dal-United (JD-U) as vice president of the party but after two years, he was expelled from JD(U) for his statements against Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
- He continued his career with campaigning for various parties such as Indian National Congress, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress party for Andhra Pradesh, Aam Aadmi Party, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Party, All India Trinamool Congress.
- Kishor is known for not accepting the offer made by the Indian National Congress party in 2022 to join as a leader of an Empowered Action Group 2024.
- In 2021, in an interview, he declared his resignation as a political strategist and he wanted to do something else in his life.

He was a part of Janata Dal ( United ) from 2018 to 2020, he was expelled from JD(U) for his comments again Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
He also did many social campaigns for BJP like Chai pe Charcha discussions, 3D rallies, Run for Unity and Manthan.
After the elections, Narendra Modi wanted to work with Prashant and offered him a minister of state position in Prime Minister’s Office, but Prashant did not accept the offer and parted his ways with BJP due to his differences with Amit Shah.
