While Shah Rukh Khan was crowned CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2023, veteran actor Mani Ratnam was named CNN-News18 Indian of the Year in entertainment.

Karnataka’s first transgender doctor and actor was honored with the Youth Icon of the Year Award (jury), while composer and singer Aniruddharavichandran bagged the title of Youth Icon (Popular) at CNN-News18 Indian.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been awarded the 2023 India Award of the Year for Outstanding Achievement. The award recognized ISRO’s remarkable contribution in pushing the limits of space exploration.

Padma Shri awardee Salumrada Thimmakka is a 112-year-old climate warrior from Karnataka’s Tumkur district, known as the “Mother of Trees” for planting more than 8,000 trees
Ravi Kannan, a renowned cancer specialist, has been named CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2023 in the social change category. His commitment to humane, pro-poor healthcare has transformed cancer treatment in Assam.
State Bank of India Chairman Dinesh Khara won the prestigious India Award 2023 for entrepreneurship. Khara joined SBI as head of testing in 1984 and has risen through the ranks over the years at India’s largest public sector lender.
The heroes of Uttarkashi received special honors at the award ceremony. Union Minister Jitendra Singh presented awards to the heroes, including National Disaster Response Force Commander Atul Karwal, rat diggers Munna, lawyer and manager Gabbar Singh Negi, and his colleague Saba Ahmed.
