Why is Mithun Chakraborty admitted to hospital?

Mithun Chakraborty, who had been working on his film Shashtri, last week, was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday morning 10th February after he complained about chest pain. The actor and dancer was feeling uneasy, had to go through several tests, and is now currently receiving treatment at the Apollo Hospital.

Recently, Mithun Chakraborty was honourde with Padma Bhushan award in January and expressed his gratitude in the video shared by his son Namashi.
Mithun was hospitalised in 2022 as well, where his son shared statement telling his fans and followers, the reason he was hospitalised because of a kidney stone issue, for which he was operated on.

Mithun Chakraborty diagnosed with Ischemic Cerebrovascular. What is Ischemic Cerebrovascular stroke?

The reports and tests of Mithun declared that he suffered from an Ischemic Cerebrovascular stroke and is now feeling better. This stroke is caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain.
Presently, Mithun Chakraborty is fully conscious, well-oriented and has consumed a soft diet. He is being further evaluated by a team of doctors including a neuro-physician, cardiologist and a gastroenterologist.
These were conveyed through a statement by the hospital.

Reaction of Mithun Chakraborty’s son and daughter-in-law.

Mithun Chakraborty’s elder son Mimoh, said in a statement, ‘He is 100 percent fine and it’s a routine checkup’. Also, his daughter-in-law, Madalsa Sharma, married to his oldest son Mimoh dismissed the rumours of Mithun admitted in hospital due to chest pain. In a statement she said, ‘It was just a routine checkup, who is spreading these rumours?’ Further, she clarified, he is completely fine now and was rushed to the hospital due to his sugar levels which had shot up.
