What is JPSC (Jharkhand Public Service Commission)?

Jharkhand Public Service Commission conducts a civil service examination for several openings in the state’s General Administration Department. The Jharkhand government conducts this exam JPSC to select suitable and qualified applicants for a variety of positions in various departments.

The exam is conducted in three stages :

  • Prelims
  • Mains
  • Personal interviews

Jharkhand Public Service Commission has released JPSC Notification 2024 for the recruitment of 342 vacancies for various posts.

A total of 342 vacant posts, for Deputy Commissioner (207), Deputy Superintendent of Police (35), State Tax Officer(56), Superintendent of Prisoners (02), Jharkhand Education Service Category ll (10), District Magistrate (01), Assistant Registrar (08), Superintendent of Labour (14), Probation Officer (06), Inspector(03)

The JPSC 2024 exam online application procedure will run from 1st February at 10 am to 29th February by 5 pm 2024

JPSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for the JPSC Recruitment 2024 examination.

Here are some criteria which need to be kept in mind before applying for the exam:

  • JPSC nationality: candidates should be Indian citizens.
  • JPSC Qualifications: must hold a graduation degree or certificate equivalent to a graduation degree.
  • Age Limit: Minimum age 20 and 21 years old. For unreserved candidates 35 age and for SC and St 40 age.

JSPC Mains and Prelims Syllabus 2024

Prelims:

There will be 2 papers on General Studies (100 marks each) Of 2 hours. It will be of objective and multiple choice questions exam.

General Studies Paper 1 will include Indian history, India’s geography, Indian politics &Indian governance, Economic & Sustainable development, Science & Tech, and other criteria.

General Studies paper 2 will be based on Jharkhand, everything about Jharkhand’s history, identities, movement, and many more will be asked in the exam.

Mains:

There will be a total of 6 papers and the pattern will of description. Duration will be 3 hours.

  • Paper 1: General Hindi and English
  • Paper 2: Language and Literature
  • Paper 3: Social Sciences, Geography, History
  • Paper 4: Indian Constitution, Polity, Public Administration, Good Government
  • Paper 5: Economy of India, Globalisation & Sustainable Development
  • Paper 6: General Sciences, Environment & Technology Development.

JSPC 2024: Expected cut–off marks :

The minimum scores required to clear the exams are known as cutoff marks. For JSPC Cut-offs are provided separately for each test phase ( prelims and mains ), categories, and cut-off marks of 2020:

  • UR (600)
  • EBC (594)
  • BC(621)
  • SC (538)
  • ST (524)

The choice will also be made based on candidate organization, number of seats available, difficulty level of exams, and previous exams.
