What controversy has been sparked because of Viksit Bharat Sampark WhatsApp message?

Accusing the government of misusing public data, the Congress Unit in Kerela took it to X Twitter complaining about the message to be a part of a campaign for the upcoming general elections. The message talks about taking feedback from citizens, but the attached PDF file is nothing but claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making about his government as a part of his campaign for the upcoming general elections, misusing government database, this was all said by Congress on X also tagging Meta.

Kerala Congress also shared a screenshot of WhatsApp policy on government and political uses of it’s business platform, highlighting that the company prohibits the use of messaging app by political parties, candidates and campaigns.
